What changes in 2027
- POS Go is no longer sold. Shopify says it enters maintenance mode on January 1, 2027, and mobile selling ends on May 26, 2027. There is no trade-in program. Shopify lists Verifone Victa Mobile, Tap to Pay, and Tap & Chip as the U.S. replacements.
- Operating systems: Shopify says that in 2027, Android devices must run Android 13 or higher and iPads and iPhones iOS 18 or higher, updated by June 6, 2027. Older tablets may need replacing.
